Artsapalooza! 2017 – June 17 – Getting Ready!

It’s spring and time to start thinking about Artsapalooza 2017.  Join us June 17 for an evening of arts in downtown Orono.

We’re working to make this, our seventh Artsapalooza, an exciting year.  This year, the festivities will start off at the Orono Public Library where they will be having a children’s concert at 4:00 as part of the celebration to open the community space behind the library.  This will be followed at 5:15 by a children’s parade, led by award winning playwright, author, and artist Travis Baker, that will end at the Orono Fire Department.

Watch for updates and more information!

squatch

We’re approaching our 5TH ANUAL Stillwater Community Arts’ ARTSAPALOOZA!

Our first announcement is a bit hairy….
5:00pm – at the Orono Public Library Green Space
SQUATCH – by Travis G. Baker, Zane Baker & Isaac Miller

SQUATCH is the tale of two boys who go looking for bigfoot just beyond their backyard. Their search takes them deep into the Maine woods where they find mystery, adventure, and a really big hairy thing.

The Artsapalooza presentation of SQUATCH will be an abridged version featuring many young local talents and artists.

About the authors:
Travis G. Baker is the award-winning author of One Blue Tarp presented by the Penobscot Theatre Company in 2014 and next season’s Hair Frenzy.
Zane and Isaac are 4th graders at Asa Adams Elementary school, avid sportsmen, and experienced squatch hunters.

Come join the hunt, then follow the trail to the rest of Artsapalooza!
